And unlike many workouts, tai chi trains your body and your mind at the same time.

Tai chi is one of the more underrated forms of exercise because it combines movement, balance, breathing, relaxation, and mental focus. Research suggests benefits across physical and mental health.

Your body is something God gave you
Taking time to move, strengthen, stretch, and care for your body can be viewed as stewardship of something God entrusted to you.
“Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit…”
— 1 Corinthians 6:19
So practicing Tai Chi can simply be a way of caring for the body God gave you.

Stillness can create space for prayer
Tai Chi emphasizes slowing down, controlled breathing, awareness, and intentional movement. You could use that quiet time to pray, reflect on Scripture, or thank God.
The movements don't have to be your prayer. Your heart and intention can be directed toward God while you move.
